Dr Anita Benson is a Dermatology Senior Resident and Public Health Specialist who has worked in both the public and private sector. She has affected the lives of hundreds of people in local communities by educating them on the adverse effects of skin lightening and offering treatment for various skin diseases while changing the perception they have towards darker skin. Research shows that about 77% of Nigerians are using skin lightening agents and less than a tenth of them are aware of the adverse effects of skin lightening.
